Herne the Hunter

My first, and so far only experiment with oil paints. Oil and I have to spend many more hours getting to know each other before we can call each other friends. I'm not happy with the value similarity throughout the painting. It needs a lot more contrast to be interesting - not to mention to fit the mood I was going for. I won't rework it on this canvas, but I'll likely re-do it fresh, possibly in another medium.
